SMS Text Messaging Opt-In

Consent to Receive SMS

By providing your phone number during booking, you consent to receive automated SMS text messages from Manitour Pedalers LLC regarding your booking. Messages may include:

Instant booking confirmations
Automated pre-tour reminders (sent 24 hours before your tour)
Waiver completion reminders
Check-in ready notifications (sent 1 hour before your tour)
Important updates or changes to your booking
Weather-related alerts (sent 24 hours before if severe weather expected)

Frequency & Opt-Out

Message frequency varies based on your booking. You typically receive 3-5 automated messages per booking (confirmation, reminder, waiver reminder, check-in notification). Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any text message, or by contacting us directly at info@manitourpedalers.com.

Note: Opting out of SMS notifications may affect our ability to send you time-sensitive updates about your tour. You will still receive email communications at info@manitourpedalers.com.

Email Communications

We use email to send important transactional messages related to your bookings. You will receive:

Booking confirmation emails
Waiver links and reminders
Pre-tour reminders
Post-tour surveys and photo delivery
Cancellation or modification confirmations

These emails are essential to providing our service. We do not send promotional emails without explicit consent.

Photos & Videos

During tours, we may take photos and videos that include you and your party. These may be used for:

Delivering tour memories to your group
Marketing and promotional purposes (social media, website, advertisements)

Your Rights: If you do not wish to appear in promotional materials, please inform your tour guide at the start of your tour. You can also contact us after your tour to request removal of specific images.

Data Security & Retention

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or destruction. Your payment information is processed securely through third-party payment processors (Stripe, Square) and is not stored on our servers.

We retain your booking and waiver information for legal and operational purposes, typically for a period of 7 years in accordance with liability and insurance requirements. Refund records are also maintained for accounting and audit purposes.

We maintain audit logs of administrative actions (including refunds, cancellations, and system changes) for security and accountability purposes. These logs are accessible only to authorized administrators.

Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate our business:

Payment Processing: Stripe, Square (for secure payment processing)

ASSUMPTION OF RISK: Tours involve physical activity and outdoor environments. By participating, you acknowledge and accept the risks involved, including but not limited to injuries, accidents, and property damage.

NO WARRANTIES: Tours are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Weather, mechanical issues, and other factors beyond our control may affect your experience.

LIABILITY WAIVER: All participants must sign a liability waiver before participating in any tour. This waiver limits our liability for injuries or damages that may occur during the tour.

ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION: If alcohol is consumed during your tour, you acknowledge that you are of legal drinking age and will drink responsibly. We reserve the right to refuse service to intoxicated individuals.
